New Log Book Hours

Effective from 12th November 2012 the Western Australian government has introduced an additional 25 hours to be done on your log book before you do a driving test {this only applies if you get your permit after this date.} This should help the current pass rate as too many people try when they are  not up to standard and fail and make it harder for others to get a test booking. The Transport Department offers a Learner Guide and Log Book, which is now available as a “Learn&Log App”, which offers these features;

  • Record your minimum 50 supervised driving hours anywhere, any time.
  • ‘Set and forget’ so no one needs to touch the phone while driving.
  • The app calculates for you – no need to add up hours and minutes.
  • Keep track of your five (minimum) night time hours.
  • Pre-enter supervisors so they can sign off.
  • Easily transfer from paper to digital.
  • Send your (minimum) 50 hours straight to DoT when completed!
